Next regions think about anti-smog laws
At the beginning of 2017 we informed about Małopolska Region (Voivodeship) implementing the 1st anti-smog law in Poland. Later on, Śląskie (Silesia Region) followed in their footsteps.
Currently three other Voivodeship seriously consider implementing law for heating devices or coal quality on their territories – Łódzkie, Opolskie and Mazowieckie Voivodeship have prepared project of their regional anti-smog laws.
Regional authorities also ask the national government to perform (on the national level) some actions leading to the improvement of air quality nationwide. Such action would be the preparation and implementation of National Program for Buildings Modernisation with focus on the most problematic (in terms of condition and air quality) single-family buildings.
The concept of National Program for Buildings Modernisation (NPBM) that IEE-EP has presented to the Ministry of Energy during consultation of NEEAP 2017 is justified especially in the regions with anti-smog laws.
